hello! I'm Hanky! just a heads up, this site isn't mobile friendly! I'm attempting to make it more responsive and easier to navigate, but it's a hobby so this might take me awhile!

I'm a massage therapist, artist, and guy with a lot of hobbies living in a cozy apartment in Chicago! I enjoy birding, retro gaming, making polymer clay beads (click here to see my *WIP* bead gallery - caution!! lots of moving images), and reading. if you'd like to follow along with what I'm currently playing n reading, you can check out the left sidebar! I try to keep it updated. eventually I want to make a dedicated page to track what retro games I've been playing

Like many people on Neocities, I am tapping into a sacred nostaglia, exploring what I remember from my youthful experiences with the internet. These feelings return to me like dreams at first, like I am 11 years old again playing Neopets or coding a MySpace page. I used to use Second Life a lot and returned to it in 2020 for the same reason... I'm always chasing a youthful feeling and exploring what nostalgia for a digital space can do. I hope I can capture that here, while also moving forward into the new attitudes of the web revival.

and btw this site is SFW, BUT I am a grown-up writing for grown-ups!
